| On Sunday evening six members of the LPFD Apparatus Committee traveled to Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wisconsin for the final inspection of the new Engine 53.
Members spent Monday and Tuesday reviewing every inch of the apparatus to ensure everything met the specifications set forth by the fire department. The committee members reviewed the specifications, build quality, and paint quality before taking the Engine for a test drive and pump test.
A few minor issues were noted and are being corrected before being shipped to Glick Fire Equipment for equipment mounting before final delivery this summer.
