This June the values of the LPFD were on full display by our membership. We have accomplished so much together and that is all in addition to responding to calls for help. This month began with the members coming together for the Annual Firefighter's Fair, our longest and most labor intensive Fund Raiser. Firefighter James Wynne graduated from Thaddeus Steven's Tech College Firefighter Ryan Miller graduated from Methacton High School and NMTCC Firefighter John Angelo Salamone graduated from Norristown High School and CMTCC Firefighter Frankie Colelli graduated from Springford High School
At our June monthly meeting three of our Cadets Callan McCarrell, Owen Gibbas, and Christopher Stiteler were voted in as Junior Members and Firefighters, while the department also voted Rick Dinapoli in as a Probationary Fire Police Unit member, and Nick Feist as a Probationary Junior Member. While the month continued and temperatures began to climb the LPFD membership continued to accomplish. Finally on Wednesday, during our first heatwave of the year Rescue & Chief 53 attended the graduation for Montgomery County Fire Academy Class 2502. This ceremony represented the culmination of over 180 hours of training and 4 modules for these 38 individuals who have volunteered to help their communities. Within Class 2502 are 3 members of the LPFD and we were proud to be able to support their accomplishments and are excited to stand with them as they continue to grow and develope in the public safety world. Congratulations on your Firefighter 1 Certification : Firefighter Tom McGowan Firefighter Jeffery Pursell Firefighter Tom Travaline |
