At approximately 7:18PM on Sunday July 20th, members of the LPFD were in service investigating a carbon monoxide detector sounding in the 1000 block of Brassington Drive when they were alerted to a pending building fire assignment in West Norriton Township.

Engine, Tower and BC53-1 with 10 members aboard, cleared the CO alarm assignment and responded on the initial alarm to West Norriton Township at that time. Initial arriving units found a 1 and 2 story garage with office and apartments above with fire showing from the rear garage area.

Tower 53 arrived as the first due truck company and performed primary searches and vented as they searched. Engine 53 arrived and assumed the 5th due engine company responsibilities, securing their own water supply for SD56 (4th due Engine). Their crew was assigned to assist with ventilation and checking for extension above the fire. BC53-1 was assigned to the interior with Tower 53 and Squad 56.

Members operated for approximately an hour and a half before being released to cover West Norriton Twp for fire service coverage while they continued to mop up and assist fire investigators.
