It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Cullen, Co-Founder of the Montgomery County Hero Fund, Friend of all in Public Safety, and the Wife of LPFD Member Sean Cullen.

Sharon passed away peacefully on Tuesday after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Not only has Sharon become a friend to so many of us in the emergency service communities, she was a driving force in creation of the Montgomery County Hero Fund, the organization that has helped and continues to help and support first responders and their families in their time of need. Sharon served selflessly on the Board and worked tirelessly to ensure that we were all looked after. Sharon was a genuine, compassionate, and loving person, and welcomed everyone she met like they were family. Her presence will be sorely missed.

The collective hearts, thoughts, and prayers of the LPFD and the Public Safety community are with Sean during this trying time as he processes this unimaginable loss, we are all here for you just as Sharon and you have been here for all of us. We are truly sorry for your loss.

Sharon’s wake will be held on Monday, August 4 from 5pm until 8pm at the Holy Savior Church located at 407 E. Main St. in Norristown.

There will be a one hour wake from 9am until 10 AM on Tuesday, August 5 with Mass beginning at 10am also at Holy Savior Church.

Please keep Sean, their friends, and family in your thoughts during this incredibly challenging time.

At the conclusion of the services on Tuesday, you are all invited to the Norristown Maenner-chor Club, 920 Haws Avenue Norristown, PA 19401, to celebrate Sharon and her commitment to public safety.
