| Shortly after 7pm Station 53 along with mutual aid units were dispatched to the 400 building of the Mill Grove Apartments for a Commercial Building Fire.
Information provided by Montgomery County Radio advised of an apartment on fire.
Lower Providence Police arrived and confirmed smoke showing from the building and that the resident of the apartment is out.
Squad 53 arrived as the 1st due Engine and deployed a 1 3/4" hose line to a first floor apartment. Crews found a heavy smoke condition with fire coming from the rear of the stove extending to the cabinets above.
The fire was extinguished and a search revealed no occupants in the unit.
The area was ventilated and the Lower Providence Fire Marshal conducted an investigation.
Crews were in service for about 1 hour.
