After the storms cleared on Tuesday evening members conducted our weekly department wide training session.
This week Firefighter Ryan Wells lead the team in patient packaging and rigging for high angle rescue. Firefighters utilitized Tower 53 and practiced proper stokes basket lashing and securing techniques, tower ladder rigging points, raising, lowering, and properly maneuvering a patient in a stokes basket from a high point.

The LPFD has volunteers in station most evenings as part of our in-station staffing model. Members conduct training nightly, but the department comes together every Tuesday evening at 7pm for department wide training.
