While we don't like to admit it the cliche is true.

Late this morning Station 53 with Tower 53 was dispatched with mutual aid units to assist Station 27 with a reported building fire.
Tower 53 responded and arrived as the 2nd Due Ladder. Crew staged as ordered by command and crews assisted on scene with overhaul, ladder placement, and checking for extension until released by command.

While returning Chief 53 received a call from a Lower Providence resident asking for assistance removing their cat from a tall tree. The crew of Tower 53 responded, and Captain Davis carefully removed the cat from the tree and reunited it with its owner, but not without a few head pats and a photo to remember the ordeal.

Apparently, Firefighter do get cats out of trees!
