Lower Providence Firefighters were honored to participate in the Methacton Futures Expo on Wednesday.

The Methacton Futures Expo is a career exploration event held for students in the Methacton School District. The school district, coordinates several career-focused initiatives, including expos and job fairs, to help students explore potential career paths.

The event connects students with representatives from various industries to help them learn about different careers and shape their future paths. It is part of a larger district-wide effort to offer engaging, career-focused experiences for students at multiple grade levels.

Today exhibitors like the LPFD spoke to 9th grade students about educational and physical requirements for students to aim for if they are interested in a career in the Fire Service, and how volunteering with agencies like the LPFD now can help foster their growth in this vital and regarding career.
