Shortly after 6:30am Tower 53 was special called to assist on the 2nd alarm for a large church fire in Pottstown.

Tower 53 responded with a crew of 6 and was placed in service at the front of the well involved church. Crews utilized the master stream to safely assist with extinguishing the fire and protecting the homes next to the building.

The crew operated until approximately 2pm when we were relieved by Tower 56 of the Upper Merion Township Fire & EMS.

Pottstown and mutual aid crews still remain on location ensuring complete extinguishment and safety to the public.
