The Lower Providence Fire Department is dedicated to safeguarding the lives, property, and well-being of the residents, businesses, and visitors of Lower Providence Township. With two fire stations and nine state-of-the-art apparatus, our department stands ready to respond to emergencies and ensure the highest level of fire protection and emergency services.
In addition to serving our local community, we provide critical mutual aid to neighboring municipalities. This collaboration strengthens our region’s ability to respond to large-scale incidents and enhances overall public safety.
We are proud to be a 100% volunteer organization, relying on the support and dedication of our community.
Our Annual Firemen’s Fair, Fund Drive, and other fundraising efforts play a crucial role in helping us maintain our services and equipment, ensuring that we remain prepared to protect and serve at all times.

LPFD Partners up for Smoke Alarm Blitz

The Lower Providence Fire Department (LPFD), in partnership with the Township Fire Marshal and the American Red Cross, recently conducted a "Smoke Alarms Save Lives" blitz, installing free smoke alarms in three communities throughout Lower Providence Township.

Tower 53 Reaching New Heights!

While we don't like to admit it the cliche is true.
Late this morning Station 53 with Tower 53 was dispatched with mutual aid units to assist Station 27 with a reported building fire. Tower 53 responded and arrived as the 2nd Due Ladder. Crew staged as ordered by command and crews assisted on scene with overhaul, ladder placement, and checking for extension until released by command.

Tower 53 Assists at Bridgeport Auto Body Fire

On Friday October 17th Station 53 was dispatched as one of two RIT units on the Working Fire Dispatch for a Commercial Building Fire in an Auto Body Shop on Front Street . Tower 53 responded with a crew of 6. Tower 53 was reassigned from the RIT assignment to the 1st Due Truck Company and took up a position on the A/D corner of the structure.

Tuesday's are for Training

Every Tuesday members gather at the station to conduct training activities and exercises.
Last Tuesday the focus of training was on drafting. Drafting is used when fire hydrants are not readily available; in Lower Providence that exists in a small section of the Collegeville Section and in the far end of Audubon.
