The Lower Providence Fire Department is dedicated to safeguarding the lives, property, and well-being of the residents, businesses, and visitors of Lower Providence Township. With two fire stations and nine state-of-the-art apparatus, our department stands ready to respond to emergencies and ensure the highest level of fire protection and emergency services.
In addition to serving our local community, we provide critical mutual aid to neighboring municipalities. This collaboration strengthens our region’s ability to respond to large-scale incidents and enhances overall public safety.
We are proud to be a 100% volunteer organization, relying on the support and dedication of our community.
Our Annual Firemen’s Fair, Fund Drive, and other fundraising efforts play a crucial role in helping us maintain our services and equipment, ensuring that we remain prepared to protect and serve at all times.

After the storms cleared on Tuesday evening members conducted our weekly department wide training session. This week Firefighter Ryan Wells lead the team in patient packaging and rigging for high angle rescue. Fire Engine for Sale

With the impending delivery of the new Engine 53 it is time for us to begin the process of selling our reserve engine Pipeline 53.
This unit will be available in July of 2025.
This 2002 KME Severe Service Pumper Engine served the LPFD faithfully and still has life ahead of it.

While Bill is an active officer with the LPFD his Full-Time profession is in law enforcement. Bill is the Detective Sergeant with the Borough of Bridgeport Police Department.

Tower 53 & Duty Chief Assist with Upper Merion Fire

Shortly after 4am Tower 53 (RIT 53) and other regional departments were dispatched to assist Station 56 on a structure fire in the 500 block of Summit Street.
Station 56 units arrived on location and found a large detached garage well involved with fire.

Tower 53 & Duty Chief Assist with Norristown Fire

Shortly after 4pm Tower 53 and other regional departments were dispatched with Station 27 for a structure fire in the 1000 block of West Airy Street.
Station 27 units arrived to find fire in the ceiling of the 2nd floor of the building.

Apparatus Committee Travels to Wisconsin

On Sunday evening six members of the LPFD Apparatus Committee traveled to Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wisconsin for the final inspection of the new Engine 53.
